Reinhausen to Expand Production Facility in Gibson County
• German manufacturer to create nearly 100 jobs in Humboldt
• Project represents nearly $7 million in capital investment
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Deputy Gov. and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Reinhausen Inc. officials announced today the company is expanding operations at its production facility in Gibson County.
Reinhausen will create 90 jobs and invest $6.7 million in Humboldt, Tennessee, as part of the project, which will support the company’s accelerated customer demand for advanced transformer production, voltage regulation and grid-automation technologies.
Founded in Germany in 1868, Reinhausen first expanded to the U.S. in 1987 when it established operations in Alamo, Tennessee. A few years later, the company relocated its U.S. hub to Humboldt, where it has remained ever since. Today, the company operates on six continents across the globe and has approximately 5,000 employees.
Germany is one of Tennessee’s top partners for foreign direct investment (FDI). Across the Volunteer State, there are more than 115 German companies accounting for nearly 23,000 jobs and $7 billion in capital investment.
