As Humboldt – and the rest of the country – still try to struggle through the horrible COVID-19 pandemic one thing has become abundantly clear…our local business are NOT okay. A recent poll of Humboldt small businesses confirms that most are down over 50% – some over 80%. They need our help more than ever.
Please, please shop local. If you’re afraid to go into a store – call ahead. Many small shops, boutiques and even restaurants will be happy to deliver curbside to you. Others have extremely safe pickup areas. The local theater has strict social distancing guidelines in place to allow you to be entertained without little to no contact.
The bottom line is, without your help and support, many of our businesses – owned by our friends and neighbors – WILL NOT SURVIVE. Please shop local and continue to do so. Support them like our city, community and county depends on it – because IT DOES.
