Chamber Bucks

Complete Details

Businesses that are members of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce are welcome and encouraged to accept Chamber Bucks Gift Certificates for purchases of goods and services. Please review the following guidelines of the program and let us know if you would like to be promoted as a “Participating Member” of the Chamber Bucks Program.
  • Who administers the Chamber Bucks program?
    • The program is administered in-house and the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce has complete control over the program and administration of the funds from it. This account is totally separate from any other Chamber checking account.
  • Denominations:
    • Available in $5 increments, but not larger than $25 for one certificate. You can purchase as many as you’d like, however.
  • Expiration Date:
    • The expiration date is on the certificate and is good up to one year from the date of purchase.
  • Who can purchase them?
    • Anyone! Employers can give them as bonuses, Holiday gifts, safety awards, retirement gifts and thank you gifts. Individuals can give them to family and friends for a variety of celebrations. Certificates may be purchased at the Chamber office or in the Chamber’s online store. They  are available all year long.
  • What happens when a certificate is redeemed at a member business?
    • When a customer presents Chamber Bucks to purchase goods and services, it’s treated like any other gift certificate. It’s up to the individual business as to whether you receive cash back if the purchase is less than the certificate amount OR if they give you a store gift certificate as change. The store then brings the Chamber Bucks into the Chamber office to receive 100% of the face value of the certificates. The Chamber’s intent is to keep customers shopping with and supporting our Chamber Members. The tax dollars that are kept in Humboldt and Gibson County through this program benefit numerous programs that affect our citizens.
  • Is there a fee?
    • No! It is considered another benefit of being a member of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.
